Koraishutir kochuri Bengali recipe- How To Make A Koraishutir Kochuri In Bengali

This is a traditional Bengali dish and when I feel to take something tasty I use to make this. First I want to make this clear that this dish is also known as the Motorshutir recipe in Bengali. Koraishuti means green peas. Koraishutir kochuri is a puffy bread that has to be deep fried where mildly spiced green peas must be inserted. Bengali persons always prefer this as breakfast, delicious snacks, or a marriage reception menu.

Koraishutir kochuri Bengali recipe is not difficult to make but still, there are a few factors that you must know when you are preparing this. There are so many recipe channels that can confuse you with so many junk ingredients which are not useful to make this.

I can assure you that if you follow the below simple methods easily you can prepare this delicious dish.

Ingredients for Koraishutir kochuri Bengali recipe

  • Green Peas – 500 gram

  • Ginger – 1 inch

  • Hing – 1/4 teaspoon

  • Cumin seeds – 3/4 teaspoon

  • Bhaja masala – 1 teaspoon

  • Maida – 500 gram

  • Salt – as required

  • Sugar – 1 teaspoon

  • Oil – 500ml

First, you have to arrange these above-mentioned ingredients. Then simply you have to follow these below simple directions.

Directions

  • At first add the green peas in a mixer along with green chili and ginger. Ground it in a fine paste.
  • Heat oil in a kadai and add hing , cumin seeds.
  • Then add the ground green peas paste and cook it, keep stirring continously. Saute until the raw smell disappears from the paste and the paste starts drying up.
  • Now add bhaja masala, salt , sugar and continue cooking on low-medium flame until it detached from the side of the pan.
  • cool the mixture and make the dough.
  • In a big bowl add maida , salt , oil (4tsp).Rub it together with hands and turn it to a crumbly mixture.
  • Now add a little water at a time and knead into a firm but slushy dough.
  • Lets make the kochuri.
  • Make small balls of dough. Then compress it into a small circle and fill it with a teaspoon of green peas stuffing.
  • Gather the sides together and roll into a ball. Then flatten this stuffed dough and roll it into puris.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan to deep fry the puris.
  • Deep fry the puris until golden brown.
  • Serve it hot along with cholar dal and aloo dum.
